installing driver

so i got a driver for my soundcard, seeing as i have no sound, and its a .sh.gz file. what do i do with it? do i have to install it, or select it as a driver? thanks.

unzip the driver (I thing the command is "gunzip a .sh.gz", it will give u a .sh file which is like exe for windows. Then install it by using
where is the file u get after unzipping the
