Installing DLink dwl-g132 wireless USB adapter in Ubuntu feisty fawn?

Hi everybody,
This is my first post. I've been doing M* products since DOS 3.2 and Novell since 3.11. Totally new to linux, but eager to learn. I've installed Ubuntu and am trying to get the above d-link USB wireless device to work. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I'd suggest checking the Linux HCL link at the top right of this page, and see if you can find the D-Link device. The key to getting wireless devices to work in Linux is determining what chipset is used. Vendors are constantly switching chipsets even in the same device and just upping the rev number.

Once you get the chipset, you can figure out what options you have for Linux drivers.

Wireless devices are challenging at times in Linux due to proprietary drivers. And USB Wireless adapters are the worst because not all Linux drivers support USB. So it may take a little time to sort it out.
