installing cybercom online client


hi..
i just dual booted ubuntu 9.10 in my comp(nforce 630i 7100, c2d 2.1 ghz, 3 gb 8oo mhz ram).now i'm having problem installing my online client...its a tar.gz file...beside i cant install my nvidia driver...it keeps saying have 2 run as root when running in terminal.....i am extremely novice in Linux...so please suggest.

I have no idea what a cybercom client is or does, but:

Code:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-185
should get the NVIDIA drivers installed. The "sudo" command runs a command with root privileges. You will be prompted for your account's password as a security measure.
