Question installing colour scheme

I have just been to (KDE look dot org) and downloaded a new colour scheme, I am trying to install it according to thier instructions but I can't find the location where they say to put the file!

Thier instructions are;

Open konqueror
Browse to ~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes
Move your new .kcsrc file into the konqueror window
Open the KDE-Menu an start the Control Center
Click on "Look and Feel" and "Colors"
Choose your new color scheme and press "Apply"

I just don't seem to have ~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes, I am running RedHat Linux 7.3 so maybe it's different for this? Does anyone know where I should put the new colour scheme so it will show up in the KDE Control Module?

Many thanks

Nester

Its probably hidden you'll need to get into File manager "super user mode" and choose veiw hidden files.

Hi,

Thanks, I have managed to sort it out now. Turning on view hidden files didn't make any diference, I didn't have any of the right folders for installing the colour files or any themes at all!

for anyone else who gets this problem just create the following directories:

$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/apps/kwm
$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/apps/kwm/pics
$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/apps/kpanel
$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/apps/kpanel/pics
$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay
$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes
$ mkdir ~/.kde/share/wallpapers

Thanks again

Nester
