Installing BitTorrent p2p program

Can someone tell me how to install the BitTorrent peer to peer program? I've downloaded the software, looked around, and cannot find what should be obvious as to how to install and use it. Please keep it simple, as I am an amateur and quite new to Linux and Ubuntu. I'm installing onto Ubuntu 9.04 on my desktop pc. If you suggest using and installing something equivalent, the instructions need to be simple and complete. thanks

Hey JauntyAmateur,

Ubuntu has made things windows-like in the past years. You could double-click to install.
