installing binutils to work with lkcdutils for use with netdump
Hi,
I am trying to install lkcdutils to analyse a netdump crash file. However, when I rpm the lkcdutils file I get the following message: libbfd-2.10.1.so is needed by lkcdutils-4.1lkst-1.i386 I have the file in /usr/lib/ but where should I have it for the rpm to find it? The command I am using is rpm -i lkcdutils-4.1lkst-1.i386.rpm from the /usr/local/src directory I am using RedHat. Thanks. |
Hi:;)
Welcome to Linux Questions! Sorry I am not sure which directory those libraries/programs belong in- If I had to guess it might be in the /proc/directory because contains special files that either extract information from or send information to the kernel. Until a member with Red Hat experience chimes in; this might help: https://access.redhat.com/site/docum...ystem-fhs.html |
