installing ati drivers

Hi!
I am trying to install ATI drivers using
ati-driver-installer-8.34.8-x86.x86_64 on fedora core 5. When I run
sh ./ati-driver-installer-8.34.8-x86.x86_64.run
or
./ati-driver-installer-8.34.8-x86.x86_64.run
I get this error:
Verifying archive integrity
Error in MD5 checksum.

Someone posted something very similar to this sometime ago but their solution didn't help me.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Jackie

A checksum error sort of implies a corrupt download does it not? Firstly then, did you verify you have a clean complete copy?

Thank you for your reply, jonnycando. I downloaded it two separate times and still the same error.
