Unhappy Installing and configuring AMR PcTel Modem

How do I install my PcTel AMR Modem? How do I configure the dial up access? I am running Linux 7.2 and GNOME as my desktop.

the pctel 0.9.6 driver has support for the amr riser
modem, but i think you'll have to upgrade your kernel
to use that driver with redhat 7.2. I'm not sure.
there's instructions on that site though. actually
there may be an rpm for your version.
