Installing a script
I am trying to install Solar. I have downloaded the file onto the desktop. I can see the file listed in green color under the desktop directory. I am unable to install. I am reading the README file which states to type, ./install_solar. when I do this it says no file or dir... Any ideas?
I am totally new at this...as if it wasn't obvious
Thanks in advance for any help

You should get to the directory where the file is located. Try
cd Desktop
ls -l
<now, if the installation script is listed in the command above>
./install_solar

The only thing I know about SOLAR comes from I found on Google. There's a tutorial here, for example
http://www.sfbr.org/solar/4.0.7.doc/00.contents.html
What happens when you type solar in the command line?
