Installing a new theme - not showing up
I'm trying to install a new theme in Gnome. I've tried several but they aren't showing up on the list, although there is some short of loading that flashes up for a second. If there was an error I didn't see it. What am I doing wrong?
|
sometimes the new theme doesn't show up in the installed theme list
but if you go to custom theme/theme details, all the new options should appear under the various tabs |
I don't seem to have that. All I have is an installed theme list and another tab that has window border themes. Then on the side theres a button to install themes, and another to go to the themes folder.
|
how are you installing the themes?
|
I tried a few ways. First by using the tar.gz, then I tried the directory, then just the gtk directory, and I even tried some of the files inside it...
|
when you say "using the tar.gz", do you mean dragging it over the theme manager window
and "letting it go"? |
Yes, and I also tried using the install button.
