installing 3ddesktop on Ubuntu

hi, after doing

sudo alien /home/c0d3z3r0/3ddesktop_0.2.9-2_i386.rpm
sudo dpkg -i /home/c0d3z3r0/3ddesktop_0.2.9-2_i386.deb

where does the program directory goes? or how can i run the program?

Actually if you open a console and type which 3ddesk it should tell you where the executable is. There should also be a man page that explains all of the different options that 3ddesk can take. The README file is also posted on the 3ddesktop site if you need more info on how to use 3ddesk.

Why are you using an .rpm?

3ddesktop is availlable in the Ubuntu repos:

Code:

apt-cache search 3ddesktop
3ddesktop - "Three-dimensional" desktop switcher

Maybe you need to add a few extra repos?
