Installer prompt

I am playing around with installing fc8 on a HP proliant DL360 and I need to type linux isa at an installer prompt in order to select the smart array. The problem is I am really new to linux and am not sure where the installer prompt is. I am booting to a Live CD and select install to HD at the moment. can someone help me with this?

where is the installer prompt? Is it just a terminal opened from the live CD?

Thanks

Given the slight differences in language used between here (UK) and "your side of the pond" I'd guess that that's exactly what it means.

I don't know whether it would mean that the command is required as user or root (normally indicated by either $ for user and # for root - these can be changed of course), so open a terminal and try it, it will either work or not. Try as user, if you get a negative response from user, then log in as root and try it.

regards

John

typing linux isa at a regular terminal window from the live CD does nothing. Either from user or from root.
