installed debian and speakers dont work now
 
new linux user, I recently installed debian into an older emachine t1125 and now the speakers dont work, although they worked fine with windows. HELP

From a command-line (as root):
Code:
# apt-get install alsa-base alsa-oss alsa-utils alsa-tools
# alsaconf
...configures your sound card...
# alsactl store
Just a reminder, that Linux does not equal Windows (Linux != Windows).
