Installation problems
Im trying to install the latest slackware on my new workstation.

I have an asus P4P800, 80 gig hd and 2400 P4 800 fsb with 2x256 twinmx corsair ram.

when i boot from the slackware image i burned, i have to load a kernel.

i take the default kernel, and it gives a kernel error.

I tried all kernels that are in there... always an error

win xp worked fine on that station.

Does the slackware kernels not support dual channel ? or the latest hardware perhaps ? Or do i have to built my own kernel

would be nice to help me out

Giving us the exact error might help us help you.. as we can't read minds or assume what the problem is. ;)
