Installation problem of RedHat 6.2 on Sparc64

Referring to the previous post about the installation problems (threadid=135044, sorry, I am not allowed to post an URL, but the information provided in this post is enough)

I managed to solve the boot problem by changing the environment variable using setenv boot-device cdrom to get rid of the entry of disk and net.

Now the installation can start, but when probing the devices before the installation GUI wizard starts, I noticed an error report from Partition check about hda on running screen. It says that this is a uncorrectable error. The screen scrolls up so quickly that I can't catch any more details. I think this is why the installation fails and reports

For server installation:

"Error creating swap on device hda5
Error mounting hda5: Invalid argument"

For Gnome/KDE workstation installation:

"An error occurred reading partition table for the block device /tmp/hda.
The error was: Input/output error."

Does this mean I have to change the hard drive or it can be fixed by something like format in Windows? Could anyone let me know how to fix this problem!

BTW, is there a way to pause the screen display if the screen changes too fast?

Many thanks
