Installation of Red Hat 6.2
I recently purchase on book on Linux for beginners, which came with Red Hat 6.2 The book so far is an interesting read, however it does not go into to detail with installing Linux in a dual boot configuration, it focuses on server configurations. I do not know how to configure the hard drive so that I can operate both Window XP and Linux. I wish to do this until I become proficient in Linux, before I completely do away with a Windows OS. Any assistance in this would be greatly appreciated it.
Thanks in advance, jdmaverick |
To get an answer for this question, try a search string at linuxquestions.org/ (home icon).
'dual boot' , 'Windows XP', 'grub', 'lilo' or any combination thereof will bring up at least a dozen people who have successfully done what you're trying to do. Where there's a will there's a way. Everyone on this forum has a will. My recommendation is grub. PS Linux has a great web-wide search engine: http://www.google.com/linux Bert |
