Hi,
I want to know, is there any file in ubuntu that stores the history of installed packages from synaptic manager?

Syslog. There is even a nice log manager somewhere in the Ubuntu menus.

In ubuntu check :

/var/log/dpkg.log : All binary package log includes package installation and other information .

Use this if u want to see in gui .
