Hi KDwosk

So you want to completely get rid of XP? - If thats the case then:

Set computer to boot from cd rom drive

Put in 1st RH cd

boot

The partitioning section is crucial

Choose the option to "remove all exisitng partitions"

ie your telling the RH installer to delete all the existing XP partitons and automatically install Red Hat in the free space created.

Intsall either GRUB or LILO to the MBR.

Make a RH bootdisk near the end of the install - just in case of complications.

re-post if there are any probs/questions

I haven't actually mentioned a "RH Rom" - check my post again.

If you mean "What is a Red Hat cd-rom"

Then its just the media you install Red Hat from.
