Installation Failures

I have downloaded a Peanut Linux iso, a Vector Linux iso, and a Crux linux iso, as well as 3 Fedora isos. For a long time I have been having problems with the isos I've been downloading...the md5sums have almost never matched the ones reported by the server. This time a few of the md5sums failed at first and I had to use rsync to get them to match again. So then I wrote them to CDs and the installs all failed. Each and every one. Figuring it was a CD writing problem, I tried with Crux and Fedora to install them from the hard drive by mounting the isos. Both Crux and Fedora allow that option. Again every time, except for a minimal install of Fedora, the install failed. Fedora failed for me a total of 3 times, each time it reported a message giving possible reasons for the error: media failure, corrupt installation media, or lack of space on the installation destination. I checked it and the hard drive space is fine, and like I said before the md5sums match, so that leaves the media failure. I thought it might be the hard drive failing, but I just had it replaced a very short while ago. It seems I'm blocked at every attempt. Does anyone have any idea what kind of error I could be experiencing? I'm thinking it has to be some kind of hardware malfunction, but just what exactly?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I had a problem similar to yours, and I downloaded the iso from another location, and it worked. Try finding another website to download it from
