Install VectorLinux from USB thumbdrive (?)

Hi, I would like to install Vector Linux, but my motherboard likes to overload and stop using the IDE CD-RW drive when I'm installing :(

I was wondering... how would I install VectorLinux from a USB 1gig Thumbdrive?

if there is any way at all I'd love to know. :)

vectorlinux thumb drive

Realize this is an old thread, but seeing that vectorlinux just came out with 7.0 gold on distrowatch this week, I guess it's still timely.

You can make a bootable flash drive of the install cd following this tutorial here. http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=LkbZs8VVGRk

For the live cd you can use unetbootin.
