install ubuntu with nvidia card

I have Ubuntu 6.1 and can't get it to install with my nvidia card as my primary card. The system is an HP 1000(Media Center) and has an onboard intel video chip which I have disabled in the system bios.

When I try to install Ubuntu all seems to go well for a few seconds. Then suddenly I get this agart error message and the install freezes.

I have tried the other options on the main screen but so far have had no success.

Does anyone know how I can do the install? Many thanks in advance for any help.

It would help if you gave the error message and the card in question
