I've had a look on forums but never seen this problem -
When I go to install linux, (Redhat 7.3, from ISO), the disk reads on boot, I get the text screen with the 'hit enter to go into graphical install' prompt, I then hit enter, and it comes up loading image **** (cant remember filename.. sorry). You can then hear the CD drive reading, but then it comes up 'unable to boot from image, insert next disk and try again'. If i hit enter again it just takes me back to the first prompt. If i insert disk 2 it just continues through the BIOS and boots to windows. If i try no disc, it boots to windows.
I tried reburning the ISO incase that was the problem. The MD5 signature is fine so i think its an OK download too.
Help :S
oh my specs: Duron 1300, KT7-RAID mobo, 256 ram, 20gb hard disk (split into a 10Gb partition for windows, and 10Gb unformatted where i'll put Linux), and the CD drive in question is a Lite-on 52x - brand new
Cheers.
