If its debian based shouldn't it just run the .deb package of skype automatically? Im going to check it out, just wait a bit.

http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Skype

^^^Judging by this it doesn't seem difficult, just run the .deb in the console.

Try this too:

http://forum.skype.com/lofiversion/index.php/t4475.html

And this:
http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11503

The last two want you to download something called klik

This last one should help too:

http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=21624

See if it works and come back to tell us! Good Luck!

Wait so an error comes up that says "need to open an application send to"?

Try this guide: http://klik.atekon.de/wiki/index.php/How_to_use_klik
and this: http://klik.atekon.de/docs/?page=How%20to%20use

many of them say that you should install as root, did you try that?

Still cant get klik to work and I think I have tried everything. This what I get when I try it in root but as soon as I click to install Skipe or anything else I get send to application.
Has anyone actually installed Klik and then Skype in Knoppix 6 Adriane on USB?

root@Microknoppix:/home/knoppix# wget klik.atekon.de/client/install -O -|sh

I have give it up and installed it in Ubuntu on a couple of laptops I work with. The Laptop I was trying to put it on is a brand new one but no way would it install Ubuntu as was the same with a few other Linux systems just would not boot them although the boor order was set correct. Knoppix works OK but I don't think I would ever have installed Skype and no one has yet said they have it on Knoppix, but I thank you for the help.
