I have a vanilla Red Hat 7.1 Server installation, without X and a Netcomm Roadster II 56 Ultra SVD model AM5692 serial modem plugged into a serial port which is plugged into the UART 2 socket on the mother board.
I typed in this:
setserial -g /dev/ttyS*
and I got:
LSR safety check engaged!
/dev/ttyS0, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x03f8, IRQ: 4
/dev/ttyS1, UART: none, Port: 0x02f8, IRQ: 3
How can I test to see if the modem is setup?
How can I test to if the serial ports are set up?
