Install red hat 7.3

OK dont laugh at me but I just started to use linux and downloaded red hat 7.3 because thats what we are using at work and I wanted a test environment to play around with.
I downloaded shrike-SRPMS-disc1.iso and disk2 and 3 and cant get the install to work. Im used to working in win2k and dont have a linux box next to me. Ive burned cd's for all of them and even got a boot.img downloaded and working but I cant get the boot program to see the information on the cd's. The install program mounts the cd-rom and searchs for the files but it tells me That CDROM device does not seem to contain a Red Hat CDROM.

Any help would be appreciated. Even if I downloaded the wrong files.

Did you burn the cd's correctly? Their iso files to begin with so you need to burn them as image cd's usually in whatever program you used, etc. I have a feeling you just have a big iso file on each cdr currently, which won't be detected when booting to.

if you want, you can email me with a snail mail addy and i can send you copies of rh 7.3 including the extra apps cd. if you want i can also send you my up2date stuff along with asplinux's kde rpms for upgrading to kde 3.1.1. it'll be about 11 to 12 cds. i'm running an older kernel though and i think i only got the rpms and source rpms for kernel versions 2.4.18-10, 2.4.18-27.7, and 2.4.20-20.7. plus it's probably better if you get video drivers on your own. anyway, if you want, i can ship 'em to ya, no strings attached.

edit: oh yeah, if you do want to do this, make sure you use a descriptive subject line like "I want Redhat 7.3 dammit!" as the email in my profile is my throw-away account (basically it's a spam repository that i just normally delete everything).
