install program
 
I downloaded a program tvtime and the file is now on my computer. i am verry new to linux. How do I install the Program tvtime from the tar.gz file on suse

are you sure that there is not an equivalent program which you could install through YasT or with an RPM, automagically?
Or maybe there is a RPM or Yast-module for tvtime? I don't know ...
I'm just saying that Yast and rpm's are the easy way to go when you are new to linux.
