Install older version of gcc

I am currently using Mandrake 9.1 with gcc version 3.2 (I think?), anyway I would like to install a previous version of gcc (version 2.95 2/3). How can I do this? Should I first remove the newer version or can I install both and use both gcc versions interchangeably.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

I have installed older version of GCC with the newest one and it did not cause a problem. I would say make a full system backup and then install it. If you have any problems just do a restore.
