Install new packages from USB drive using apt-get

I have installed Debian from Linux live USB and i would like to install new packages from the USB.

How to make the apt-get search for the packages in the USB drive ? what line should i add to the sources.list ? or how could i make the linux consider the USB drive as a CD-ROM to search for the packages automatically in the USB.

Just mount the USB, either with a GUI or through the mount command then navigate to where it is, and type (as root) "apt-get -f <package-name>". That way will automatically install the dependencies. You can also do it through "dpkg -i <package-name>" though that way doesn't automatically install the dependencies.

This method won't search for the dependencies in the USB and asks me to insert the Debian CD1 in the drive /media/cdrom/ to install them, i want the dependencies to be automatically searched in the USB since i have no CD and no internet.
