i have download linux extix and burn it on usb. start perfect but now i want install it on my pc.
Everything goes well till i must restart it than i get message register kretprobes failed returned -7 . How can i do? Have tried several times and schut tpm but nothing helps. Any one a idea?
In the LXQt version you’ll have to start up a terminal and run the command "ubiquity" for the installation to start. Then just follow the instructions.
My concern would be that the released system has been built with kernel probes enabled. Might be benign, might be a severe exposure. Until proven otherwise I would consider it compromised - hopefully just the developer failing to remove testing code.
have contact with exton himself and even he dont know a solution.
Strange so i must forget this distro i think.
lol. I doubt that that's exactly what they said. If your problem description was as useful as the one here, they probably just told you that they can't make heads nor tails of it.
If you dont know solution dont react than with stupid answers!!
You gave no usable information. Dropping in an error message like that means almost nothing, there is no way to solve this issue (based on your all posts). That's why exton could not solve it too.
Anyway, here is some info about what is kretprobe: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/late...e/kprobes.html
And if you really want some help please describe your problem better: what did you do exactly, what's happened exactly...http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-ques...html#beprecise
Or do not expect anything else but stupid answers.
In all fairness to the op I did a check in a vm, the installation went smoothly, no hint of any problem. On the reboot after installation the boot up stopped at a console login with the kretprobes fail error occurring on the screen at a constant interval, no other messages. When I login and type startx after the desktop loaded again there is no sign of any problems unless you alt-ctrl out of the desktop to a console and/or run dmesg. Here is some screenshots Of what it does on my system in a vm.
I was able to install an older kernel using apt, the messages went away, but still had to use startx to get to a desktop and dmesg was spitting out segfault messages.
The power/logout buttons would not work in the desktop have to use a terminal to reboot/power off.

This is a much better description of that case, although I don't think it is enough to solve it. At least it looks like it is reproducible and the maintainers probably can start troubleshooting based on it (or someone who is really familiar with it).
How much you must write? if people have no knowledge about this problem. people that have the knowledge ask only what they need to know to solve it. pitty from the stupid answers

So the poster can't describe the problem properly, but "people that have the knowledge" will ask only what they need to know to solve it.
How on earth do you think people can have the knowledge to solve poorly described issues?
pan 64 When you will stopp with your stupid messages?
You realy dont have the knowledge to solve the problem so
SHUT YOUR MOUTH!! Go do something else.

WOW.
Instead of engaging in a civilised discussion, you just attack.
Triggered? You must have realized that you were wrong, and are now unable to deal with that.
In case you didn't know: personal attacks are not allowed in this forum.
And before you lash out again: saying "You poorly described your problem" is NOT a personal attack. Saying "Your answers are stupid" IS a personal attack.
FWIW, I completely agree with everything pan64 wrote here.
As far as the topic is concerned, you should probably re-read post #3.
