install kvm bare metal


hi guys
does kvm support type 1?
in my knowledge, type 1 doesnt need to install any OS..
so how do i install KVM without installing any OS..
i have rhel CD..
i cant find any step by step guide on the net

in this , it is installing kvm with a host.
which means guest>host>kvm>hardware?
is there anyway to guest>kvm>hardware?

As I understand it, KVM is a service, not an OS.
What you should do is use the Report button to ask the Mods to mover this to the Virtualisation forum.
