install exited abnormally -- received signal 7

Hi,
I am trying to install redhat linux 7.1 on a intel machine, actually i am using vmware utility which allows to create virtual machine and install a software on virtual machine.
I tried installing RH7.1 i always get this error

Running anaconda - please wait ...
install exited abnormally -- received signal 7
sending termination signals...done

And then it says unable to proceed turn off the computer now.

the setup exits
there is a message
"received signal 11 exiting.....
you may now reboot your system"

this is the message i get when ever i install any version of linux
i have tried redhat 7.0,7.2,7.3,9.0 all return me the same result

i m installing it on my amd sempron 1100 le processor with msi am2 socket motherboard
i have 256 md ddr2 ram

please help me
i need to buildup linux based ftp server and this doesnt help

Maybe you should try Fedora Core (or a newer distribution) instead ?
