Install centos + windows xp

I want to install centos and windows xp on a desktop, anyone could tell me which method will be the best(I only use linux box before).Is it
1.install centos first, and leave some space
2.and then install windows xp

partition the drive
install XP
install centos
install grub/lilo in the MBR
