install boot log for 3 distros

I have gotten same outbut while trying to boot from HD (installation boot) with:
Archlinux, Slackware 13, and Knoppix 6.0.1.

This is the output:

ioport range 0x4d1 has been reserved
ioport range xxxxxx-xxxxxx has been reserved
iomem range 0ff8xxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx could not be reserved

also before each line is several other numbers like
[ 0.623051] pci 0000:01:03.0----
for example the first line looks like
[ 0.586211] system 00:01: ioport range 0x4d1 has been reserved

fourth line looks like-----
[ 0.623051] pci 0000:01:03.0: CardBus bridge, secondary bus 0000:03
etc.... for every line.

I have had success with installing several other distros
it seems this type of output occurs mainly with larger distros (iso being greater than 200-300 MB) which makes me wonder if the RAM is to blame, as i only have 128.
Is there anyone who has run into this problem before, who could shed some light on the situation?

Is you hardware too old for those linuxes ? See the minimum system requirements for the distros

that shouldn't be the problem, Its got 900Mhz processor, 128 ram. the only thing KNOPPIX(my latest attempt) requires is to have a bootable CD drive(which i have but hard to get access to a CD burner) so i've been booting from the HDdrive instead.

Is the installer stop responding there ?

vendtagain 09-17-2009 04:32 PM

ya everything just stops, that output stays on the screen, after about 5-10 mins screen turns black, then i have to hold power btn to turn it off. I cant seem to find this happening with anyone else on google. keyboard doesn't affect anything, processor stops "blinking"
i dont think i made this clear but all this happens before the installation menu, so im guessing something with boot kernel and/or initrd-and my comp.
