Install all packages?

When I build my new system I'm going to do a complete re-install of SUSE Pro. Since hd space is not an issue, I'm considering just installing all packages (6 gig). Is there any reason *not* to do this? For instance, would this mean I'd end up w/all kinds of unnecessary stuff running in the background, clogging up my system?

further to kasperhans comment, you'd really have to "suck it and see". If the system seems too slow, then you'd have the option of either switching off the services/facilities that you don't need to start at boot, or uninstall them completely if you don't use them (though whether this could cause dependency problems, I couldn't say).

I'd suggest that you may be better off, installing the stuff that you KNOW that you want/will use, then you could always experiment later with the other stuff you leave out.

Give it a go, worst case scenario is that you'd have to do a further re-install, and from recollection, that doesn't take too long with SuSE anyway.
