Well, you first need to provide DETAILS. All we know for certain is your modem brand/model. You don't say what version/distro of Linux, what you're trying to install, where you got it from, and what instructions you're following.
Your error message indicates that you don't have the compiler installed, or the kernel source. Without knowing anything about your Linux distro, we can't tell you how to fix it.
