Post instalation of suse 9 linux on SATA hard drive

Hi, I am totally new for linux and want to install suse 9 linux server on my computer suporting SATA hard drive. During installation it shows that hard disk not found. Also, i would like to configure it as DHCP server.

Which suse 9 did you use ,Because I use suse 9.3 for a short while on my machine all my drives are sata and found by suse 9,3 Is there a reason to use suse 9 because suse is now at 10.3 and suse 11 is coming soon

People apparently have been able to do this:

But--why make work for yourself? OpenSUSE 10 and up should install with no issues.
