Instal Help Please

I downloaded Utumbu on to a cd. I went to install it via rebooting and it will not reboot using the cd. I tried to install it via "RUN" and it says I need a program that will open an "ISO" file. What am I doing wrong ? I am using MS XP.
Thank you for any help/comments.

You need to burn your iso as an cd/dvd image, and not just throw it inside the cdrom as a regular file.

You might also need to make sure that your BIOS is configured to boot from cdrom.

Most CD-burning applicatios have an option for "burn from iso" or "burn from image". With Windows running, open the CD and see what's there. If there are multiple files and folders, then you have done it correctly. If there is just one file ending in .iso, then you've fallen into the (very common) trap and you need to burn a new CD.

In addition to making sure the BIOS is set to boot from CD, check that it will boot from some other CD--eg your Windows install disk.
