Inode Cannot Be Deleted ??

I realize that the files in /usr/share/kde4/apps cannot be deleted after I attempt to delete /usr/share/kde4/apps/kopete.

Why is this so?

one reason can be a process is still using the file you try to delete. use lsof command and see if a file in that folder is used by any process. if so stop / kill that process and try to delete the inode

1) Check if you are logged in as root cmd 'whoami'
2) look for attribtes of the file using 'lsattr <file-name>
BTW, I am not able to understand what you are trying to do. IMHO you should be using a package manager to make sure that you are deleting only the files that you need.
