Initializing new network card
i have installed a driver for my intel pro/100 VE network connection, the base driver is e100
how do i get redhat linux to load this driver and use it with my network card (which is not natively supported so it is not shown on the network-config program)

if /sbin/ifconfig -a
doesn't display eth1 info try
/sbin/modprobe e100
namely what I used to do if I remember correctly is to copy the config file for eth0 (and renaming it according to convention for eth1)somewhere in /etc/networking/scripts, change the networking info (IP, subnet mask, etc) in the copied file - sorry I can't be any more specific 'cause I don't have a RedHat setup. And after verifying that the module is loaded try to bring te interface up
/sbin/ifconfig eth1 up

let me make this a little simpler to understand
in redhat 9, if an ethernet card is not listed in the menu of cards in the internet configuration wizard, is it possible to get it running?
