information about root


how can i make any local user as the root please help

Which distri are you using.
You could use sudo
therefor you could edit using visudo the /etc/sudoes file

google for how to sudo and you're fine.

There's only one root user. If nothing else, the definition would be the one user that can change things like permissions and ownership after another user has changed them.

You can give other users specific privileges through the use of groups, sudo, etc.

i am using suse 10 version of linux in this i want to change one local user as the root
