Info displayed to screen at boot stored somewhere?

When I boot Linux there are several lines (with [OK] (green) or [Failed] (red)) displayed to the screen but I have not enough time to read what failed.

I'd like to know if these lines are stored in some file that can be read with a text editor.

Thanks

It's all in /var/logs

The actual boot process can be easily
"retreived" by using
dmesg

You can pipe that into less (dmesg | less)
or redirect it to a file for later reading ( dmesg > dmesg.txt )

Tink
