Red face Infared in Mandrake 9?

I am running Madrake 9.0 w/ KDE 3.0 desktop on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 7000). when i used windows, i used my cell phone (Nokia 3360) as a dialup modem via infared. I am new to linux, and i cannot find anything about infared. it does not even show up under hardware. i have windows 98 installed also, and it works fine on that. any ideas?
