incremental backup problem


Hi .

there are 2 folders say a and b.
i wrote cron job such a way that a and b will tar and come in to one folder.
next day i am coming and writing cd's

some times there will be no updations in folder b. but it is taring.

one of my frd told that incremental backup. i worked 2 days but no result.

searched google and searched forums also..

i am newbie..plz help me..

give me the script for incremental backup.

thankyou..

This might help, but do take some time to read and understand it in detail. Backing up data is not a quick "run this script" thing.
