Hello,
Please remember, linux is case sensitive; So if you used any capital letters, then you need to use capital letters. Also, have you checked your caps lock? Let us know before we try to troubleshoot your problem; Most likely, you will need to log in via single user mode, and reset your password. Have a look here - http://www.centos.org/docs/4/html/rh...ng-single.html Cheers, Josh |
sorry for the late reply sir.there's no case sensitive things, neither was the caps lock on. I tried "Booting into Single-User Mode" but not sure if it worked correctly. while I follow that direction typing "single" and [Enter], I am there but if i go with normal booting its same again. password does not work.

So single user mode works? You can use that to change your password. Boot into single user mode, then issue the following:
Code:
passwd root |
Thank you sir. its solved. Now I can enter. :D
