incoming mail not coming in

I am running postfix on Mandrake 9.0 and suddenly nothing is coming in. Things are going out and are delivered locally and remotely but nothing gets delivered if it's not coming from the localhost. I know I have network because I'm typing this.

Any ideas?

I turned the firewall off and indeed that was what was blocking, now I'll have to selectively turn it back on.
