Incoming mail attachments over 1MG fail
Hi Guys
I'm running SuSE 11 with sendmail and dovecot. I'm sending and receiving mail. But as soon as someone sends me a mail with an attachment over 1mg it seems to fail. I have no problem sending big attachments. Kind Regards Juan |
You mean megabyte MB not MG.
And, Can you recieve large attachments through any other mail program? |
The dovecot program is configured to reject large incoming attachments. I tried to find out how to change that, but he dovecot site was not responding.

Dovecot is a POP3 and/or IMAP daemon. It delivers mails to you when you log in.
Incoming mails are handled by a SMTP daemon, in your case sendmail. So change the sendmail configuration to the new limit. |
Hi
Sorry i ment MG .... i have made chages to /etc/sysconfig/sendmail.. Didn't seem to work ? Didn't know that dovecot is configure to reject large attachments... could dovecot be the reason ? |

Hi
I have looked at that post that's more sending mail. My problem is receiving and i have edited that line to 10MB.And it didn't make a difference on receiving mail. |
Wiki for dovecot configuration Here. There is an option to resize dbox. See if that helps you.
