Angry in the installation i get an error message "tty; job turned ff (initramts)" !!

hi guys,
i have Dell notebook XPS M1330 and i've been trying to install ubuntu, but before i get far i get an error message "tty; job turned ff (initramts" ;( and so i've tried browsing through some forums, some says it may be due to optical drive issues, some kernel, and to me i still seek answers though!
what's an issue here, am so much lost??

anyway, so i thought if it could be due to optical issues (let's say it is so...!?! ) is it possible if i could copy the cd files to my flash drive and boot the installation from there (my flash drive?)?

i'l appreciate your responses!!
