in netbeans


hi i installed netbeans 6.0 in red hat linux..
if i try to run it,it does..
but it shows the following message..

"[root@localhost Desktop]# ./netbeans-6.0.desktop
./netbeans-6.0.desktop: line 1: [Desktop: command not found
./netbeans-6.0.desktop: line 3: IDE: command not found
./netbeans-6.0.desktop: line 6: Java: command not found
./netbeans-6.0.desktop: line 6: IDE: command not found
"
but it runs properly..

wat is the problem i am facing here...

Usually, this is not the executable to run from the command line, but the desktop icon description. It is a text file that contains information about the software to run when clicking on it. If you look at it, maybe there is a line with the name of the real executable, which is launched someway.

The easiest and proper way is to start it from command line is by <NB_INSTALLATION_DIR>/bin/netbeans . In my case it is
bash-3.1$ ~/netbeans-6.0/bin/netbeans
