in linux installation when i get to the screen when it says install linux the screen
in linux installation when i get to the screen when it says install linux the screen flickers. than i cannot see the menu where the app icon is
or where the wifi icons are and the any notfications all i see is desktop icons and wallpaper please hlp me out thank you

First, you need to tell us what machine you are installing on, the distribution you are using, and the method you are using to install said distro (cd/dvd or usb stick).
The more information you can offer, the more help you will receive!

im sorry im new
anyways im using a dell latitude d620 laptop, trying to install linux mint lisa12,32 bit usb method...it had ubuntu on it i have two computers so i want ubuntu on one n linux on one

SO, you are booting your d620 from a usb stick, and selecting the install option? Or are you opting to start a live session then running the installer from inside Mint?

Did you ever get Mint sorted out? Looks like the newest version has come out, have you tried to install Mint 13?
