In Fedora Core 3 only in XMMS no sound
I just installed FC3, updated XMMS to play mp3's, but I got no sound. In all the other programs the sound does work. I set as output plugin OSS, but still it doesn't work.
What's wrong here?
thanks.

oss is now obsolete, so you may have trouble using it. Try using alsa.

Acutally, Fedora Core doesn't ship mp3 plugin so you can turn whatever on if you want and it's not going to do any good. However, it's real easy to fix the problem. Log in as root and run
yum install xmms-mp3
That's all there is...

Also - make sure XMMS is properly configured (pointing at the correct sound device)
